    Mike Watkins // Board President, Co-founder

    Mississippi native and U.S. Army Combat Veteran Mike Watkins, serves as the Northern Sales Director & Client Management Director for FireCraft Cooperative. He co-founded FireCraft and Trem Dawgs Harvest & Processing Solutions to boost craft cannabis businesses. Guiding over 15 brands and maintaining one of Mississippi's largest industry networks, he also heads The Devack Henderson Foundation, ensuring community growth and cannabis innovation.

    Sherry Henderson // Asst. Director, Co-Founder

    Ms. Sherry Henderson, born in Indiana and raised as a military brat, joined the Coast Guard in 1979 with dreams of becoming a nurse and serving her country. She had two children, Richard and Rebecca (Becky), and shares a particularly close bond with her daughter. After Becky became paralyzed in a 2003 car accident and later bedridden following another in 2018, Sherry became her primary caregiver, offering unwavering support. Sherry’s dedication to Becky’s well-being, including supporting her use of medical cannabis and palliative care, highlights a relationship defined by compassion, strength, and sacrifice.

    Dr. Fred Kency // Medical Director, Co-Founder

    Dr. Fred Earl Kency Jr., MD, FAAEM is a board-certified emergency physician and Jackson, Mississippi native with a passion for men’s health. He earned his B.S. in Biology from Alcorn State University and his M.D. from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Dr. Kency completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center after serving overseas. He currently practices at Baptist Hospital in Jackson and teaches as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at UMMC, while remaining active in organizations such as Alpha Phi Alpha, 100 Black Men of America, ACEP, and AAEM.

    Jenny Hamp // Board Secretary, Co-Founder

    Jenny has been in the cannabis industry for over 10 years with a broad range of experience from dispensaries, cultivations, and processors, to administrative, compliance, and regulatory under her belt. Born and raised in Colorado, Jenny re-located to Mississippi where she fell in love with the state and the medical cannabis industry here. Driven by a mission to ensure that everyone who needs or wants to partake in cannabis as medicine has the ability to do so with regular, safe, and legal access. The roots of The Devack-Henderson Foundation hold up this mission, and provide the avenue to further that access here at home in beautiful Mississippi!

    Meet Kyrsten, the cannabis-loving number cruncher extraordinaire! With a passion for greenery that extends beyond spreadsheets, Kyrsten is not your average accountant. Armed with a calculator in one hand and green in the other, she brings a unique blend of professionalism and laid-back vibes to the world of cannabis finance. With a knack for navigating the highs and lows of the industry, Kyrsten is the go-to bean counter for cannabis entrepreneurs looking to blaze a trail to financial success. When not balancing budgets or rolling up sleeves, you can find her enjoying time with her family. Whether it's crunching numbers or rolling ideas, Kyrsten is dedicated to serving the cannabis community with a smile and a sprinkle of humor.
